Chorleywood steam train 1934

Showing the cutting outside Chorleywood station, Herts with steam loco LNER 5024 1934. Down train to Aylesbury. Based on a photograph by my grandfather H.C.Casserley who was a well-known steam historian and photographer. I added in colour to bring this image to life. Recently used with permission as the cover of a book about the history of Chorleywood Signal Box. A classic Metroland image harking back to the golden age of steam.
