Deer at Ashridge

The Grade I listed Ashridge House in Hertfordshire was once the home of Henry VIII and has an oak tree planted by Queen Victoria.

The current house was built in the early 19th c. The remains of the Mediaeval Monsastry which once stod here can be found in the cellar and gardens. Now home to award-winning weddings & events. The Courtyard cafe and Acres Restaurant. Gardens and house tours available.

I volunteer here every Wednesday morning as part of Berkhamsted Local History Society, and never tire of the thrill I get rounding the corner of the estate to glimpse this magnificent country house.

I now offer the original artwork for sale direct from my studio in Tring, Herts. The originals are hand-painted painted using water-based Winsor & Newton professional gouache paint on Arboreta E.S. white drawing cartridge paper 160g/m2
