The George and Dragon
looking East towards Berkhamsted this old coaching Inn began life in 1772
In days gone by the (now car park) was the village Green, a blacksmiths was attached with the village stocks opposite. It was the setting of the annual Statute Fair to hire staff and farm labour. It was once known as 'The Swan', latterley 'The George'. (As my brother once quipped perhaps it became "and Dragon" when the landlord married!
I now offer the original artwork for sale direct from my studio in Tring, Herts. The originals are hand-painted painted using water-based Winsor & Newton professional gouache paint on Arboreta E.S. white drawing cartridge paper 160g/m2

This painting is A3 size, it comes mounted (white acid free mountboard, outside dimensions 51cm 40.5cm (20” x 16”) but un-framed. Signed and titled in pencil by me.
