Pitstone Windmill is a Grade II* listed windmill which dates from the early 17th century.  Believed to be the oldest post mill in the British Isles dating to 1627. It stands in the north-east corner of a large field near the parish boundary of Ivinghoe and Pitstone in Buckinghamshire, and belongs today to the National Trust. Open to the public at certain times, check the NT handbook. The background shows Ivinghoe Beacon 757ft above sea level, it is the site of an early Iron Age hill fort
