Hemel Hempstead New Town

I painted this in 2015 for a competition run by The New Towns Commission. I won a prize! (from memory it was a £5 art-supplies gift voucher which to be honest didn't even buy a tube of gouache paint!). Hey Ho! I enjoyed looking at the mid-century architecture/colours and added a corgi in homage to HM Queen Elizabeth II who formally visited the New Town in the 1950's

A friend added some text via photoshop to turn the image into a vintage portrait style poster "Come to Hemel Hempstead" I could offer that version as a print.

I now offer the original artwork for sale direct from my studio in Tring, Herts. The originals are hand-painted painted using water-based Winsor & Newton professional gouache paint on Arboreta E.S. white drawing cartridge paper 160g/m²

This smaller sized painting is 19cm x 15cm and is offered mounted but unframed. Signed and titled in pencil by me.
