The Kings Head Aylesbury, Buckinghamshire
The Grade II* listed King's Head is one of the oldest pubs with a coach-yard in the south of England. It is located in the Market Square.
The oldest part of the current structure of the building is of 15th-century, however, the cellars are much older, dating back to the 13th century, and may have been part of the local Friary. A modern building now blocks the view of this historic building from the once open market place hence the side view point of my painting. Now managed by the National Trust.
I now offer the original artwork for sale direct from my studio in Tring, Herts. The originals are hand-painted painted using water-based Winsor & Newton professional gouache paint on Arboreta E.S. white drawing cartridge paper 160g/m2
