This painting (done Nov 2023) was composed from various sources, first I used a B&W photo my dad took in 1957 of the Traction Engine at a rally in Oxfordshire. The engine is called "Matilda" by Foster Engine No. 14568 5nhp. It spent its working life with messers Shaw of Fawley,Shrops. I bought colour to her,and have added in my family on the rhs ( my parents and me and my siblings) as we spent much of our youth attending traction engine rallys. In the background you will see my grandads/dads old Morris Car. Currently we attend the Marsworth Steam rally where I have based this image
