Old Amersham The Crown & Market House Original Painting
Old Amersham The Crown & Market House Original Painting
Old Amersham The Crown & Market House (also called the Market Hall)
This iconic building was designed in a neoclassical style in 1682. The arcades on the ground floor allowing markets could be held, with an assembly room on the first floor. A coat of Arms of the Drake family in the centre commemorates the local distinguished family who commissioned this building. An octagonal wooden cupola tops off this landmark
I currently show annually with Old Amersham Council Art Exhibition in the first floor assembly room, what a venue! I show my local original artwork here with proceeds going to local charities
I now offer the original artwork for sale direct from my studio in Tring, Herts. The originals are hand-painted painted using water-based Winsor & Newton professional gouache paint on Arboreta E.S. white drawing cartridge paper 160g/m2
