The White Lion Whipsnade

The White Lion Whipsnade, this iconic chalk lionwas carved into the side of the Bedfordshire Downs to advertise the Whipsnade Wildlife Park (zoo) whichopened in the early 1930's. I can recall seeing it lit up inlights at night as a child inthe 1970's.
