White Lion Whipsnade

The iconic white Lion is carved from chalk onthe chiltrenHills onthe DunstableDowns.It was made in the early 1930's to promote Whipsnade Zoo which had recently opened. I can remember seeing the Lion lit up at night in the 1970's
