Following a meticulous site inspection by the discriminating judges of the Georgian Group, we now have a fastidious inspector from the Brick Awards heading our way. The folly - here painted by the artist Mary Casserley in the style of the Thirties railway posters of Norman Wilkinson - is shortlisted in the brick craftsmanship category against an intimidating field of contenders - including the new Royal College of Music courtyard, the Chelsea Barracks (Phase 3), Lambeth Palace Library, St Albans Cathedral and then…Wolverton Hall Folly.
